Export of Italian regions

In the first quarter of 2019, exports increased in seasonally-adjusted terms, compared with the previous period for the Centre (+7.0%) while decreased for the South and Islands (-2.4%) and for the North-East and the North-West (-1.0% for both the macro-regions ).

In 2019, compared with the previous year, exports rose in the Centre (+15.1%), in the South (+2.5%) and in the North-East (+2.4%) while dropped in the Islands (-17.6%) and in the North-West (-2.0%).

In the same period, more relevant increases, according to their contribution to the total export increase, were recorded in Toscana (+16.1%), Lazio (+21.0%) and Emilia-Romagna (+5.0%) while relevant decreases were recorded in Sardegna (-17.7%) and in Sicilia (-17.5%).
