Industrial, construction and services producer prices

In February 2019 the industrial producer price index decreased by 0.1% compared with the previous month. Domestic producer price index decreased by 0.2%, while producer price index on non-domestic market increased by 0.1%.

The percentage change of the average of the last three months with respect to the previous three months went down by 0.5% (-0.6% for the domestic market and -0.4% for the non-domestic market).

The industrial producer price index increased by 3.1% compared with February 2018 (+3.9% on domestic market and +0.7% on foreign market).

The construction producer prices index decreased by 0.3% in February 2019 with respect to the previous month and stayed unchanged on the same month of the previous year.

The average of the last three months with respect to the previous three months of the construction producer prices index decreased by 0.3%.

In quarter 4 the total services producer price index increased by 1.0% compared with the previous quarter and by 2.2% respect to quarter 4 of the previous year. Sea and coastal water transport provided the largest upward contribution to the annual rate (+9.5%) while Telecommunications services the largest downward one (-1.8%).
