Employment and unemployment (quarterly)

Istat estimates that 22,4 million persons were employed in the 2^nd quarter 2014, down 0,1% (-14  thousands) from 2^nd quarter 2013. The employment rate slightly increased to 55.7%. Unemployment rise to 3.1 million (+69 thousands persons), while the unemployment rate slightly increased to 12.3%. The inactivity rate decreased to 36.3%.
