Production in construction
In May 2012 the seasonally adjusted index decreased by 0.5% compared with the previous month. The percentage change of the average of the quarter March-May, with respect to the previous quarter, decreased by 3.0%.
The calendar adjusted index of production in construction sector in May 2012 decreased by 13.6% compared with May 2011 (calendar working days were 22 as in May 2011); in the period January-May 2012 the percentage change was -14.0% compared with the same period of 2011.
The unadjusted index of production in construction sector decreased by 13.6% compared with May 2011. Comparing the average of the first five months of 2012 with the same period of 2011 the index decreased by 13.7%.
