Production in construction
In April 2012 the seasonally adjusted index decreased by 4.4% compared with the previous month. The percentage change of the average of the quarter February-April, with respect to the previous quarter, decreased by 9.5%.
The calendar adjusted index of production in construction sector in April 2012 decreased by 15.1% compared with April 2011 (calendar working days were 19 versus 20 days in April 2011); in the period January-April 2012 the percentage change was -14.2% compared with the same period of 2011.
The unadjusted index of production in construction sector decreased by 18.1% compared with April 2011. Comparing the average of the first four months of 2012 with the same period of 2011 the index decreased by 13.8%.
