Foreign trade with non-EU countries - August 2026

Data on Italy’s foreign trade with non-EU27 countries in August 2026 are preliminary. The results of the survey on total foreign trade in August 2026 will be disseminated on coming 16 October 2026.

In August 2026, exports to non-EU27 countries increased by 16.1% and imports by 17.2%, compared with the same month of the previous year.

In August 2026, in seasonally adjusted terms, exports decreased by 2.1% and imports by 0.1%, compared with July 2026. Over the last three months, seasonally adjusted data, compared with the previous three months, showed a 0.2% decrease in outgoing flows and a 1.5% increase in incoming flows.

In August 2026, the trade balance with non-EU27 countries registered a surplus of 2,000 million euro compared with a surplus of 1,878 million euro in August 2025; excluding energy, the surplus was equal to 6,809 million euro, up compared with a 5,449-million-euro surplus in August 2025.
