Foreign trade and import prices - July 2026
In July 2026, seasonally adjusted data increased for exports (+0.3%) and declined for imports (-1.2%). Exports to EU countries decreased by 5.6%, whilst those to non-EU countries rose by 6.9%. Imports from EU countries increased by 0.8%, whilst those from non-EU countries fell by 3.6%.
Over the last quarter, compared with the previous one, seasonally adjusted data increased for both exports (+1.3%) and imports (+2.8%).
In July 2026, compared to the same month of the previous year, exports rose by +4.7% and imports by +4.6%. Outgoing flows grew by +2.7% for EU countries and by +6.6% for non-EU countries. Incoming flows increased by +4.9% for EU area and by +4.2% for non-EU area.
In July 2026, trade balance recorded a surplus of +8,240 million Euros (+1,251 million Euros surplus for EU countries and +6,989 million Euros surplus for non-EU countries). Excluding energy, the trade balance surplus amounted to +13,756 million Euros.
In July 2026, import prices increased by 0.4% on monthly basis (+0.2% for the euro zone, +0.4% for the non-euro zone). Over the last three months, compared to the previous three months, import prices increased by 2.6% (+2.0% for the euro zone, +3.2% for the non-euro zone).
Import prices, compared to the same month a year ago, rose by 5.0% (+3.3% for the euro zone, +6.6% for the non-euro zone).
