Preliminary estimate of GDP - Q2 2026

In the first quarter of 2026the seasonally and calendar adjusted, chained volume measure, of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased by 0.2 per cent with respect to the previous quarter and by 1.0 per cent over the same quarter of the previous year.

The first quarter of 2026 had the same number of working days than the previous quarter and one working day more than the second quarter of 2025.

The quarter on quarter change of GDP was the result of an increase of value added in services and a decrease in agriculture, forestry and fishing and in industry. From the demand side, the GDP dynamic in the second quarter is the result of a negative contribution of net exports and a positive contribution of the domestic component (including of changes in inventories).

The carry-over calendar adjusted growth for 2026 is 0.8%. Please note that 2026 has 3 more working days than 2025.
