Foreign trade with non-EU countries - May 2026
Data on Italy’s foreign trade with non-EU27 countries in May 2026 are preliminary. The results of the survey on total foreign trade in May 2026 will be disseminated on coming 16 July 2026.
In May 2026, exports to non-EU27 countries increased by 6.3% and imports rose by 15.4%, compared with the same month of the previous year.
In May 2026, in seasonally adjusted terms, exports and imports increased by 0.4% and 3.4% respectively, compared with April 2026. Over the last three months, seasonally adjusted data, compared with the previous three months, showed a 5.0% increase in outgoing flows and a 10.9% increase in incoming flows.
In May 2026, the trade balance with non-EU27 countries registered a surplus of 3,843 million euro compared with a surplus of 5,387 million euro in May 2025; excluding energy, the surplus was equal to 9,591 million euro, up compared with a 9,091-million-euro surplus in May 2025.
