Update of Bes indicators - April 2026

The updated Bes indicators are being released today.

The updated data cover 84 out of 152 indicators (see Table 1), spanning all 12 Bes domains. In some cases, this has required a revision of the time series.

The indicators, published in four Excel files, are broken down by region, gender, age group and educational attainment, as well as combinations of these factors.

The first file contains data for all indicators classified by region and geographical breakdown, and where available, by gender. The second file contains data for indicators available by age group and gender. The third file contains the classification by educational attainment, age group and gender for those indicators where it is possible to calculate it. The fourth and final file contains indicators available by geographical breakdown, educational attainment and age group, or alternatively, gender.

The metadata for all 152 Bes indicators is contained in a separate file.

At the same time, to make the indicators easier to read, the dashboard for viewing the indicators is also being updated to allow users to create customised  tables and charts for viewing, navigating and exporting.
