Foreign trade with non-EU countries - February 2026

Data on Italy’s foreign trade with non-EU27 countries in February 2026 are preliminary. The results of the survey on total foreign trade in February 2026 will be disseminated on coming 17 April 2026.

In February 2026, exports to non-EU27 countries increased by 2.5% and imports decreased by 0.4%, compared with the same month of the previous year.

In February 2026, in seasonally adjusted terms, exports and imports increased by 4.9% and 8.5% respectively, compared with January 2025. Over the last three months, seasonally adjusted data, compared with the previous three months, showed an increase in outgoing flows of 1.8% and a decrease in incoming flows of 0.6%.

In February 2026, the trade balance with non-EU27 countries registered a surplus of 5,529 million euro compared with a surplus of 4,827 million euro in February 2025; excluding energy, the surplus was equal to 8,885 million euro, down compared with a 9,627-million-euro surplus in February 2025.
