ISLP Poster Competition 2024-2025
Italy once again took the podium at the International Competition in the recently concluded edition.
The poster, entitled Il peso dei numeri: i femminicidi in Italia (The weight of numbers: femicide in Italy), created by Matteo Maldis, Gian Pablo Andrade Rivas, Marco Bassi, Alberto Khafizov and Andrea Bruno Meraldi, from class V of the I.T.E.T. “A. Bassi” in Lodi, coordinated by Professor Fabio Banderali, came second in the upper secondary school category.
Honourable mention goes to the poster L’energia rinnovabile utilizzata a Rossano Veneto (The renewable energy used in Rossano Veneto), created by the team of students Marco Martini, Amantia Xhafa, Aurora Donanzan, Nicolas Fattore and Raffaele Grandesso, coordinated by professor Maria Cascone, from class III of the Istituto Comprensivo “G. Rodari” in Rossano Veneto (VI).
The announcement was made at the 65th International Conference of the International Statistical Institute, which took place in The Hague from 5 to 8 October.
The posters were evaluated by an international team of representatives from national statistical Institutes and members of the ISLP project.

The biennial ISLP Poster Competition invites school and university students from around the world to design a poster with the aim of helping to promote statistical literacy. Primary schools (4 and 5 classes), lower and upper secondary schools and Bachelor’s degree courses are eligible to participate. The winners of the national competitions in each participating country advance to the final stage.
