Retail trade - June 2025

In June 2025, seasonally adjusted retail sales increased by 0.6% in value and 0.4% in volume compared with May 2025.

In the 2nd quarter of 2025, retail sales grew by 0.6% in value and by 0.2% in volume over the previous quarter.

On a year-on-year basis, in June 2025, retail sales recorded a growth of 1.0% in value and contracted by 0.7% in volume.

Compared to June 2024, retail sales rose by 3.4% in large-scale distribution and by 4.1% in online sales, while they fell by 1.7% both in small-scale retail and by 1.9% in non-store sales.

Among non-food products, year-on-year trends remained mixed across categories. The largest increases were seen in Cosmetic and toilet articles (+3.7%) and Electric household appliances, audio-video equipment (+3.5%), while the most marked declines were recorded in Clothing (-3.4%) and in Furniture and textile items and household furnishings (-2.9%).
