On 18 June 2015 at 9.30 a.m., it will be held at the Istat ‘Aula Magna’ in via Cesare Balbo 16, the workshop “Population size estimation through multisource data”.
Population size estimation by using multisource data is a relevant issue for National Statistical Institutes. This framework poses new methodological questions that require further research in order to exploit all the informative power of the different sources.
The main objective of the event is to offer a common space for the exchange and sharing of experiences in the research and testing of statistical methods in this field. The workshop will be an opportunity to illustrate the research and the progress of some work within the framework of the Institutes of Statistics of the Netherlands, Norway and Italy, and will be an occasion for discussing and debating on the prospects on population size estimation through multisource data.
