Official statistics at the time of Artificial Intelligence

The fifteenth edition of the National Conference of Statistics to take place in Roma on 3-4 July 2024.
The National Conference of Statistics is the main forum where the various stakeholders in the National Statistical System can meet and share their views. It provides data producers and users with the opportunity to discuss the role and development prospects of official statistics.
The 2024 edition of the CNS, entitled ‘Official Statistics at the time of Artificial Intelligence’, provides a glimpse of the near future that official statistics is called upon to face: the spread of Artificial Intelligence and, more specifically, of machine learning algorithms that can help improve the process of data integration and sharing.
This is the technological challenge that Istat and Sistan have to face, and which will add strength to the productions based on the integrated systems of statistical registers started in recent years.
This year’s proceedings to be held in presence and streaming and the programme includes both plenary and parallel sessions, keynote speeches and side events.
The scientific poster session starts with an open Call for Papers for the presentation of research experiences in the field of statistics.
