Istat presents the breakdown of national exports by Italian Regions for the reference period January- March 2012.
In the first quarter 2012, compared with the fourth period September – December 2011, in seasonally-adjusted terms, export grows for South and Islands (+6.1%) and North-West (0.8%) and decreases for other areas: North-East (-3.0%) and Centre (-1.8%).
In the first quarter 2012, compared with the first quarter of the previous year, exports increase for all territorial divisions: Islands +20.4%, Centre +9.1, North-West +5.0%, North-East +3.5% and South +1.4%.
In the first quarter 2012, compared with the first quarter of the previous year, more relevant increases, according to their contribution to total export growth, were recorded for Sicilia (+30.4%), Toscana (+14.2%) Emilia-Romagna (+7,4%) and Lombardia (+6.4%). Significant increases occurred also for Puglia (+10.1%), Campania (+7.5%), and Marche (+6.2%).
