Along with carrying out research within the Framework Programmes and the European Statistical Programme, Istat participates in projects funded by other European Union programmes.
These are funding opportunities related to a number of European funds and programmes that, pushing on the political priorities of the European Union, focus on innovation and the digital agenda, the environment and green transition, the human capital, the economic, social and territorial cohesion, the migration and, finally, security and defence.
The improvement of statistical information in different thematic areas and the development of statistical techniques and methodologies capable of improving the use of data form the basis of the research activities in which the Institute is involved.
