In October, estimates for seasonally adjusted turnover index increased for both industry and services. For the industrial sector, the index was up 0.5% in value (+0.8% in volume) when compared to the previous month (+1.7% in value and +1.6% in volume in the domestic market and -1.6% in value and -0.4% in volume in the non domestic one). For services, the seasonally adjusted turnover increased in the month on month series by 2.0% (+1.3% in volume).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the three months to October 2024, the seasonally adjusted industry turnover fell both in value and volume (-0.6% and -1.3% respectively) when compared with the previous three months. In the same period, the services turnover remained stable while decreasing by 0.6% in volume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On a year-on-year basis, in October 2024, the calendar adjusted industry turnover index fell in both value (-5.3%) and volume (-3.8%), registering a 4.0% decrease in the domestic market (-3.3% in volume) and 7.7% drop (-4.9% in volume) in the non-domestic one. Calendar working days in October 2024 were 23 versus 22 in October 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In services, turnover increased by 2.8% in value and by 0.4% in volume when compared with the same month a year earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
