{"id":76042,"date":"2024-09-18T15:34:05","date_gmt":"2024-09-18T13:34:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/?p=76042"},"modified":"2024-12-06T13:30:11","modified_gmt":"2024-12-06T12:30:11","slug":"islp-international-statistical-poster-competition-2024-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/news\/islp-international-statistical-poster-competition-2024-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"ISLP International Statistical Poster Competition 2024-2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Istat and the Italian Statistical Society (SIS \u2013 Societ\u00e0 Italiana di Statistica) sponsor, as for the previous editions, the <a href=\"https:\/\/iase-web.org\/islp\/Poster_Competition_2024-2025.php\">International Statistical Poster Competition 2024-2025<\/a> as part of the International Statistical Literacy Project (<a href=\"https:\/\/iase-web.org\/islp\/Poster_Competition_2024-2025.php\">ISLP<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative is addressed to school and university students from around the world, with the aim to improve young people&#8217;s awareness of official statistics as a tool for learning about everyday reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Four categories of participants:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>IV and V classes of primary schools (new category with separate instructions);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>lower secondary schools;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>upper secondary schools<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>universities (bachelor&#8217;s degrees).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The poster topic is \u201cThe 2030 Agenda.\u201d All information on the competition, including in Italian, is available on the<a href=\"https:\/\/iase-web.org\/islp\/Poster_Competition_2024-2025.php\"> ISLP website<\/a> and below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/ISLP_Advert-2024-ITA.pdf.pdf\">Competition flyer 2024 &#8211; 2025<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/ISLP_regolamento.pdf.pdf\">Competition rules<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/ISLP_linee-guida.pdf.pdf\">Guidelines for making posters<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/ISLP_linee-guida-primaria.pdf.pdf\">Guidelines for making posters for primary school<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/ISLP_criteri.pdf.pdf\">Judging criteria<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/ISLP_criteri-primaria.pdf.pdf\">Judging criteria for primary school<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Istat makes materials on monitoring the 2030 Agenda for Italy available in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/statistical-themes\/focus\/well-being-and-sustainability\/sustainable-development-goals\/\">dedicated section<\/a> of the institutional website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Registration opened on <strong>18 September<\/strong>;<strong> <\/strong>the deadline to register has been extended to<strong> 24 December 2024, <\/strong>and \u00a0the deadline for poster submission is <strong>22<\/strong> <strong>January 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>National first-place winning posters will be displayed at the <strong>65th ISI World Statistical Congress<\/strong> in The Hague from 5 to 9 October 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In past editions, Italy ranked 2nd place in upper secondary school category with the poster \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/iase-web.org\/islp\/documents\/posterwinners2023\/2_Italy_Translation.pdf?1690930285\">Are We Cultivating the Agriculture&#8217;s Future in Italy<\/a> \u201d and 3rd place with lower secondary schools with the poster \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/iase-web.org\/islp\/documents\/posterwinners2023\/1_Italy_Translation.pdf?1690930390\">Top 100 Most Streamed Songs Analysis<\/a>\u201d in the 2022\/23 school year. In the 2018\/19 school year, it took 1st place worldwide with the poster \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/iase-web.org\/islp\/documents\/posterwinners2019\/3_Italy_Poster.pdf?1566817431\">The gap between reality and perception<\/a>\u201d created by the University of Turin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to register their teams teachers should write to <a href=\"mailto:islp@istat.it\">islp@istat.it<\/a> providing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>school full name and address;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>contact teacher&#8217;s first and last name;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>e-mail and mobile no. of the contact teacher;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>full first and last name of the students in the team(s) registered (1 to 5 students per team).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Each teacher may register more than one team from the same school.<a id=\"_msocom_1\"><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The international statistical poster competition 2024-2025 has been announced as part of the International Statistical Literacy Project.
