In April 2022 the number of employed and unemployed persons decreased, while inactive people increased.<\/p>\n
On a monthly basis, the slight decline of employment (-0.1%, -12 thousand) concerned women and people aged 35-49 years, while men and other age groups rose. Overall, the employment remained stable at 59.9%.<\/p>\n
In the last month, the decline of unemployed persons (-0.8%, -17 thousand) concerned only men and all age groups except 35-49 years. The unemployment rate dropped to 8.4% (-0.1 p.p.), while the youth rate rose to 23.8% (-1.4 p.p.).<\/p>\n
In April the increase of inactive people aged 15-64 (+0.3%, +34 thousand) was recorded for both men and women and all age groups. The inactivity rate grew to 34.6% (+0.1 p.p.).<\/p>\n
In the period February-April 2022, with respect to the previous quarter (November 2021-January 2022), the employment rose (+0.6%, +141 thousand).<\/p>\n
In the last three months, a drop was registered for both unemployed persons (-4.8%, -107 thousand) and inactive people aged 15-64 years (-0.7%, -93 thousand).<\/p>\n
Compared with April 2021, the number of employed persons increased by 3.0% (+670 thousand), the growth concerning both genders and all age groups except 35-49 years; the employment rate showed an increase of 2.3 p.p. .<\/p>\n
On a yearly basis, the rise of employed people was accompanied by a decrease of both unemployed persons (-17.0%, -428 thousand) and inactive people aged 15-64 (-4.0%, -540 thousand).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
