In March 2022 the number of employed persons rose, whereas both unemployed and inactive people decreased.<\/p>\n
On a monthly basis, the rise of employment (+0.4%, +81 thousand) concerned women and persons over the age of 24, while younger people decreased and men were substantially stable. Overall, the employment rate climbed to 59.9% (+0.3 p.p.).<\/p>\n
In the last month, the decline of unemployed people (-2.3%, -48 thousand) concerned only women and central age groups. The unemployment rate dropped to 8.3% (-0.2 p.p.), while the youth rate rose to 24.5% (+0.3 p.p.).<\/p>\n
In March the decrease of inactive people aged 15-64 (-0.6%, -72 thousand) was recorded for both men and women and all age groups. The inactivity rate fell to 34.5% (-0.2 p.p.).<\/p>\n
In the period January-March 2022, with respect to the previous quarter (October-December), the employment rose (+0.6%, +133 thousand).<\/p>\n
In the last three months, a drop was registered for both unemployed persons (-6.0%, -136 thousand) and inactive people aged 15-64 years (-0.4%, -54 thousand).<\/p>\n
Compared with March 2021, the number of employed persons increased by 3.6% (+804 thousand), the growth concerning both genders and all age groups; the employment rate showed an increase of 2.8 p.p. .<\/p>\n
On a yearly basis, the rise of employed people was accompanied by a decrease of both unemployed persons (-16.6%, -412 thousand) and inactive people aged 15-64 (-5.5%, -747 thousand).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
