In December 2021, estimates for construction output continued to grow, increasing by 0.3% in the month-on-month series. This is the highest level of construction output since May 2012.<\/p>\n
In the 4th<\/sup> quarter of 2021 the seasonally adjusted index of production in construction was up 4.2% when compared with the previous quarter.<\/p>\n Year on year, both the unadjusted index rose by 23.6% and calendar adjusted index grew by 19.3% (22 calendar working days versus 21 days in December 2020).<\/p>\n Looking at annual growth rates, the whole of 2021 shows a growth of 24.4% in the unadjusted series, while the calendar adjusted index rose by 24.3%.
