In December 2021 seasonally-adjusted data, compared to November 2021, decreased by -1.1% for outgoing flows and increased by +7.5% for incoming flows. Exports dropped by -0.2% for EU countries and by -2.1% for non EU countries. Imports grew by +10.0% for EU countries and by +4.4% for non EU countries.<\/p>\n
Over the last three months, seasonally-adjusted data, compared to the previous three months, increased by +2.4% for exports and by +7.5% for imports.<\/p>\n
In December 2021, compared with the same month of the previous year, both exports and imports grew (+16.2% and +37.2% respectively). Outgoing flows increased by +20.1% for EU countries and by +12.7% for non EU countries. Incoming flows rose by +31.5% for EU area and by +45.9% for non EU area.<\/p>\n
In the year 2021, compared to 2020, outgoing flows raised by +18.2% (+20.0% for EU countries and +16.3% for non EU countries) and incoming flows increased by 24.7% (22.7% for EU countries and +27.7% for non EU countries).<\/p>\n
In December 2021, the trade balance amounted to +1,103 million Euros (-3,638 million Euros for EU countries and +4,741 million Euros for non EU countries). In the year 2021, the trade balance registered a surplus of 50,416 million euro compared to the surplus of 63,289 million euro the year earlier; excluding energy, the surplus was equal to 89,452 million euro compared with a 85,656 million euro surplus in 2020.<\/p>\n
In December 2021, import prices increased by 0.9% on monthly basis (+0.5% for the euro zone, +1.1% for the non-euro zone). Over the last three months, compared to the previous three months, import prices increased by 4.7% (+1.9% for the euro zone, +7.4% for the non-euro zone).<\/p>\n
