In June 2021 the number of employed persons increased, while a decline was recorded for both unemployed and inactive people. <\/p>\n
On a monthly basis, the growth of employment (+0.7%, +166 thousand) involved men, women and all age classes. Overall, the employment rate went up to 57.9% (+0.5 p.p.).<\/p>\n
In the last month, also the drop of unemployed people (-5.1%, -131 thousand) was observed for both genders and all age classes. The unemployment rate declined to 9.7% (-0.5 p.p.) while the youth rate dropped to 29.4% (-1.3 p.p.).<\/p>\n
In June the decrease of inactive people aged 15-64 (-0.3%, -34 thousand) was the result of a fall among women (-0.8%, -72 thousand) whereas inactive men increased (+0.8%, +38 thousand). The inactivity rate went down to 35.8% (-0.1 p.p.).<\/p>\n
In the second quarter of 2021, with respect to the previous one, the employment rose (+1.0%, +223 thousand) for both genders.<\/p>\n
In the last three months, a drop was registered both for unemployed persons (+0.8%, -20 thousand) and for inactive people aged 15-64 years (-2.0%, -279 thousand).<\/p>\n
Compared with June 2020, the number of employed persons increased by 1.2% (+267 thousand), the growth concerning both genders and all age classes with the exception of people aged 35-49 years; the employment rate showed an increase of 1.1 p.p. .<\/p>\n
On a yearly basis, the rise of employed people was accompanied by an increase of unemployed persons (+3.5%, +81 thousand) and a marked decline of inactive people aged 15-64 (-4.2%, -592 thousand).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
