In December 2020 exports to non-EU27 countries increased by 3.1% and imports decreased by 3.7% compared with the same month of the previous year. <\/p>\n
The trade balance showed a surplus of 7,907 million euro compared with a 6,801 million euro surplus in the same month of 2019.<\/p>\n
In December 2020, in seasonally adjusted terms, exports decreased by 4.6% and imports decreased by 1.3% compared with November 2020. Over the last three months, seasonally adjusted data, compared with the previous three months, showed a 4.0% rise in outgoing flows and a 3.1% increase in incoming flows.<\/p>\n
In December 2020 excluding energy, the trade balance showed a surplus of 9,922 million euro compared to the surplus of 9,912 million euro of December 2019.<\/p>\n
In 2020, compared with 2019, exports and imports to non-EU27 countries decreased, respectively, by 9.9% and by 15.3%.<\/p>\n
In 2020 the trade balance with non-EU27 countries registered a surplus of 57,036 million euro compared to the surplus of 52,339 million euro in 2019; excluding energy, the surplus was equal to 79,542 million euro, down compared with a 90,427 million euro surplus in 2019.<\/p>\n
For the former non-EU28 area, which does not include the United Kingdom, in December 2020, exports increased by 3.3% and imports decreased by 3.7% compared with December 2019. In seasonnally adjusted terms, exports decreased by 3.9% and import decreased by 0.8% compared with November 2020.
