In September 2019 the estimate of employed people lightly decreased (-0.1%, -32 thousand), while the employment rate stayed at 59.1%.<\/p>\n
The decrease of employment involved both men and women. A growth is observed among under 35 aged people (+16 thousand), while the employment decreased for over 35 aged people (-49 thousand).<\/p>\n
The number of unemployed persons rose (+3.0%, +73 thousand in the last month); the growth involved both men and women and all age groups, with the exception of people aged 25-34. The unemployment rate rose to 9.9% (+0.3 percentage points), the youth rate increased to 28.7% (+1.1 percentage points).<\/p>\n
Inactive people aged 15-64 decreased (-0.6%, -77 thousand), as the result of a reduction among both men and women. The inactivity rate dropped to 34.3% (-0.2 percentage points).<\/p>\n
In the period from July to September 2019, employment stayed stable in comparison with the previous quarter, even by gender.<\/p>\n
In the last three months, the stability of employment was accompanied by the drop of unemployed persons (-1.9%, -48 thousand) and the slight decrease of inactive people aged 15-64 years (-0.1%, -9 thousand).<\/p>\n
Compared with September 2018, employment increased by 0.5% (+111 thousand). The growth concerned both men and women, and all age groups, with the exception of people aged 35-49.<\/p>\n
On a yearly basis, the rise of employment was accompanied by a fall of unemployed persons (-4.8%, -129 thousand) and inactive people aged 15-64 (-1.0%, -137 thousand).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
