The stability of employment involved both men and women. A growth is observed among over 50 aged people (+34 thousand), while in the other age groups the employment decreased.<\/p>\n
The number of unemployed persons declined (-3.4%, -87 thousand in the last month); the reduction involved both men and women and all age groups. The unemployment rate decreased to 9.5% (-0.3 percentage points), the youth rate dropped to 27.1% (-1.3 percentage points).<\/p>\n
Inactive people aged 15-64 increased (+0.6%, +73 thousand), as the result of a rise among both men and women. The inactivity rate grew to 34.5% (+0.2 percentage points).<\/p>\n
In the period from June to August 2019, employment rose in comparison with the previous quarter (+0.2%, +45 thousand), even by gender.<\/p>\n
In the last three months, the rise of employment was accompanied by the drop of unemployed persons (-3.7%, -95 thousand) and the slight increase of inactive people aged 15-64 years (+0.1%, +9 thousand).<\/p>\n
