Istat presents preliminary data on Italy\u2019s foreign trade with non-EU countries in April 2019. The results of the survey on total foreign trade in April 2019 will be disseminated on coming 19 June 2019.<\/p>\n
In April 2019 exports to non-EU countries increased by 6.7% and imports increased by 7.4% compared with the same month of the previous year.<\/p>\n
The trade balance showed a surplus of 1,889 million euro compared with a 1,861 million euro surplus in the same month of 2018.<\/p>\n
In April 2019, in seasonally-adjusted terms, exports increased by 0.5% and imports increased by 0.9% compared with March 2019. Over the last three months, seasonally-adjusted data showed a 0.6% decreased in outgoing flows and a 2.2% decreased in incoming flows in comparison with the previous three months.<\/p>\n
In the period January-April 2019 exports to non-EU countries increased by 3.5% and imports increased by 4.5% compared with the same period of 2018.<\/p>\n
The trade balance registered a surplus of 6,864 million euro compared to the surplus of 7,143 million euro in the same period of 2018. Excluding energy, the trade balance presented a surplus of 19,724 million euro (Table 2) compared with a 19,575 million euro surplus in January-April 2018.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
