Istat presents preliminary data on Italy\u2019s foreign trade with non-EU countries in September 2018. The results of the survey on total foreign trade in September 2018 will be disseminated on coming 16 November. <\/p>\n
In September 2018 exports to non-EU countries decreased by 7.3% and imports increased by 17.5% compared with the same month of the previous year. The trade balance showed a surplus of 79 million euro compared with a 3,521 million euro surplus in the same month of 2017. <\/p>\n
In September 2018, in seasonally-adjusted terms, exports decreased by 3.7% and imports increased by 4.1% compared with August 2018. Over the last three months, seasonally-adjusted data showed a 0.6% decreased in outgoing flows and a 6.0% increased in incoming flows in comparison with the previous three months. <\/p>\n
In the period January-September 2018 exports to non-EU countries increased by 1.4% and imports increased by 6.8% compared with the same period of 2017. The trade balance registered a surplus of 17,881 million euro compared to the surplus of 24,061 million euro in the same period of 2017. Excluding energy, the trade balance presented a surplus of 47,776 million euro compared with a 48,176 million euro surplus in January-September 2017.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
