Istat presents data on Italy\u2019s foreign trade as well as unit value and volume indices (base year 2015=100) referring to January 2018. <\/p>\n
In January 2018 seasonally-adjusted data, compared to the previous month, decreased for both outgoing flows (-2.5%) and for incoming flows (-4.4%). Exports fell for non EU countries (-3.8%) and for EU countries (-1.5%). Imports decreased both for EU countries (-4.6%) and non EU countries (-4.1%). Over the last three months, seasonally-adjusted data, compared to the three months earlier, showed an increase for exports (+1.7%) and for imports (+2.4%). <\/p>\n
In January 2018, compared with the same month of the previous year, both exports and imports increased (+9.5% and +7.8% respectively). Outgoing flows increased by 13.0% for EU countries and by 4.8% for non EU countries. The growth in purchases is due to the increase for EU area (+12.5%) and non EU area (+1.9%). The trade balance in January amounted to -87 million Euros (+439 million Euros for EU countries and -526 million Euros for non EU countries).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
