The first edition of the module was carried out ten years earlier within the survey 2013 Aspects of Daily Life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From its first implementation, the module has been developed in line with the international standards recommended by the International Labour Organization (ILO) Manual for the economic valuation of volunteer work, while also expanding the content related to the social value of such activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2023 edition enriches the information available by including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>greater detail on informal (non-organized) volunteering;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>insights into the changes in volunteer work following the Covid-19 health crisis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The released microdata refer to the population aged 15 and over, which is the target of the volunteer work module. The file also includes individual and household background characteristics collected through the Time Use survey. It does not include information from the time-use diaries, which will be released separately in a different file not linked to the volunteer work module.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Time Use survey is conducted using P.A.P.I. techniques, on a five-year cycle, and involves a sample of approximately 20,000 households and 50,000 individuals.
