Istat presents preliminary data on Italy\u2019s foreign trade with non-EU countries in April 2017. The results of the survey on total foreign trade in April 2017 will be disseminated on coming 16 June.<\/p>\n
In April 2017 exports to non-EU countries decreased by 3.7% and imports increased by 4.1% compared with the same month of the previous year. The trade balance showed a surplus of 2,556 million euro compared with a 3,602 million euro surplus in the same month of 2016.<\/p>\n
In April 2017, in seasonally-adjusted terms, exports decreased by 4.9% and imports decreased by 0.8% compared with March 2017. Over the last three months, seasonally-adjusted data showed a 0.4% increase in outgoing flows and a 2.8% increase in incoming flows in comparison with the previous three months.<\/p>\n
In the period January-April 2017 exports to non-EU countries increased by 8.0% and imports increased by 14.3% compared with the same period of 2016. The trade balance
\nregistered a surplus of 7,549 million euro compared to the surplus of 9,756 million euro in the same period of 2016. Excluding energy, the trade balance presented a surplus of 18,945 million euro (Table 3) compared with a 17,272 million euro surplus in January-April 2016.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
