Istat presents preliminary data on Italy\u2019s foreign trade with non-EU countries in December 2016. The results of the survey on total foreign trade in December 2016 will be disseminated on coming 16 February.<\/p>\n
In December 2016, exports to non-EU countries increased by 4.1% and imports increased by 8.1% compared with the same month of the previous year. The trade balance showed a surplus of 5,678 million euro (Table 1) compared with a 5,887 million euro surplus in the same month of 2015.<\/p>\n
In December 2016, in seasonally-adjusted terms, exports increased by 2.5% and imports increased by 6.5% compared with November 2016. Over the last three months, seasonally-adjusted data showed a 2.9% increase in outgoing flows and a 5.2% increase in incoming flows in comparison with the previous three months.<\/p>\n
In 2016 exports to non-EU countries decreased by 1.2% and imports decreased by 5.8% compared with 2015. The trade balance registered a surplus
\nof 39,872 million euro compared to the surplus of 33,222 million euro in 2015. Excluding energy, the trade balance presented a surplus of 65,579 million euro (Table 3) compared with a 64,368 million euro surplus in 2015.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
