In order to improve the timeliness of statistical information on the Italian labour market and in accordance with the agreements made within the European Union, Istat publishes monthly estimates of the main labour market indicators resulting from the \u201cLabour force survey\u201d.<\/p>\n
In April 2016, 22,634 million persons were employed, +0.2% compared with March. Unemployed were 2,986 million, +1.7% over the previous month.<\/p>\n
Employment rate was 56.9%, +0.2 percentage points compared with March, unemployment rate was 11.7%, +0.2 percentage points over the previous month, and inactivity rate was 35.4%, -0.3 percentage points in a month.<\/p>\n
Youth unemployment rate (aged 15-24) was 36.9%, +0.2 percentage points in a month, youth unemployment ratio in the same age group was 9.8%, +0.2 percentage points compared to the previous month.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
