The survey \u201cOccupancy of tourist accommodation establishments\u201d is a monthly census and it is carried out through the local tourism bodies (mainly the Regional offices). It collects mainly data on arrivals and nights spent (by residents and non-residents) at tourist accommodation establishments in Italy. The accommodation establishments are classified into two main typologies: hotels and similar accommodation and other collective accommodation establishments.<\/p>\n
In the second quarter of 2014 arrivals at tourist accommodation establishments increased by 3.6 per cent and the number of nights spent by 2.8 per cent, compared with the same period of the previous year. The average length of stay changes from 3.14 days in the second quarter of 2013 to 3.12 in the same period of 2014.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
