The Services Turnover Index measures the quarterly change recorded in sales at current prices by enterprises belonging to the domain of services. Starting from the first quarter of 2013 the indices are calculated with reference to the base year 2010 using the Ateco 2007 classification (Italian edition of Nace Rev. 2).<\/p>\n
In the fourth quarter of 2013\u00a0the Services Turnover Index\u00a0decreases\u00a0by 1.7%.<\/p>\n
Compared to the fourth quarter of 2012 a decrease is recorded in Water transport (-6.7%), Air transport (-6.6%), Information and communication services (-5.8%), Postal and courier activities (-3.2%), Accomodation and food service activities (-2.6%) and Wholesale trade (-1.3%). Increases are recorded in Trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles <\/strong>(+1.8%), Land transport and transport via pipelines (+1.7%), Warehousing and support activities for transportations (+1.5%) and Transport, Warehousing and support activities (+0.2%).<\/p>\n In the fourth quarter of 2013 the seasonally adjusted index decreases in all sectors: Maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and Air transport (both -3.6%), Information and communication services (-2.0%), Water transport (-1.3%), Wholesale trade (-1.1%) and Postal and courier activities (-1.0%).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The Services Turnover Index measures the quarterly change recorded in sales at current prices by enterprises belonging to the domain of services.
