The southern regions (-1.6%) and the North-east area (-1.8%) showed a lesser decline than the national average, while in the North-west and in the Centre the drop was -2%. The regions showing the most consistent decline were Valle d\u2019Aosta and Liguria (-2.8% in both regions).<\/p>\n<p>In 2012 the North area recorded the highest value of disposable income per inhabitant (about 20,300 euros both in North-east and in North-west areas). In the Centre the disposable income per inhabitant was 18,700 euros, while it was even lower in the South (13,200 euros, 25% below the national average).<\/p>\n<p>In 2012 Bolzano\/Bozen, with 22,300 euros disposable income per inhabitant, held the first place in the ranking, while Campania occupied the lowest position, with little less than 12,300 euros<\/p>\n<p>In 2012 national households disposable income, at current market prices, was 1% above the value recorded in 2009. In the same time span the North-est recorded the most relevant increase in disposable income (+1.7%), while the South the lowest (0,2%).<\/p>\n<p>Liguria was the region where the impact of the crisis proved to be more effective: between 2009 and 2012 household disposable income in the region decreased by 1.9%.
