The contest “Producing official statistics with Big Data”, promoted by Istat and Google, is now open to everybody.<\/p>\n

The initiative, launched on the occasion of the Third Italian day of statistics<\/a>, aims at rewarding innovative projects related to the use of Big Data sources to observe events of national relevance.<\/p>\n

The announcement now presents substantial changes (in Articles 2 and 4), and allows \u201c\u2026adult subjects, single or associated in groups, on a personal basis or as representatives of an organization\u201d to submit their application form by 31 January 2014 and their project proposal by 30 April 2014.<\/p>\n

Applications should be sent by e-mail to commissionebigdata@istat.it<\/a> within 31st January 2014.<\/p>\n

Project proposals should be submitted by e-mail to commissionebigdata@istat.it<\/a> within 30th May 2014.<\/p>\n

Winners will be announced by the 15th January 2015<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
