The results of the flash estimates on extra-EU trade for August 2013 have been disseminated on September 24<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In August \u00a02013 seasonally-adjusted data, compared to July 2013, showed an increase for outgoing flows (+1.7%) and for incoming flows (+1.1%). Exports increased for both areas: +2.9% for EU countries and +0,2% for non EU countries. As regards imports the growth was the synthesis of an increase for EU countries (+2.4%) and a decrease for non EU countries (-0.6%). Over the last three months, seasonally-adjusted data, in comparison with the previous three months, showed an increase of 0.7% for exports and of 1.3% for imports.<\/li>\n<li>In August 2013, compared with the same month of the previous year, trade decreased by 4.4% for exports (-3.4% for EU area and -5.4% for non EU countries) and fell by 9.8% for imports (-3.3% for EU and -15.5% for non EU countries). The trade balance (January-August 2013) amounted to 19.2 billion Euro (8.2 billion Euro for EU area and 11.0 billion Euro for non EU countries).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Istat presents data on Italy\u2019s foreign trade as well as unit value and volume indices (base year 2010=100) referring to August 2013.
