The Services Turnover Index measures the quarterly change recorded in sales at current prices by enterprises belonging to the domain of services. Starting from the first quarter of 2013 the indices are calculated with reference to the base year 2010 using the Ateco 2007 classification (Italian edition of Nace Rev. 2).<\/p>\n
In the second\u00a0quarter of 2013\u00a0the Services Turnover Index\u00a0decreases\u00a0by 2.5%.<\/p>\n
Compared to the second quarter of 2012 a decrease is recorded in all sectors:\u00a0 Information and communication services (-7.1%), Wholesale trade, trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles <\/strong>(-2.3%), Accomodation and food service activities (-1.8%), Transport and Warehousing activities (-0.2%). Within the above sectors increases are recorded in Water transport (+3.3%) and Land transport (+1.3%).<\/p>\n In the second quarter of 2013 the seasonally adjusted index increases in Maintenance and repair of motor vehicles (+3.9%), Water transport (+0.6%) and Wholesale trade (+0.2%).
