The Services Turnover Index measures the quarterly change recorded in sales at current prices by enterprises belonging to the domain of services. Starting from the first quarter of \u00a02013 the indices are calculated with reference to the base year 2010 using the Ateco 2007 classification (Italian edition of Nace Rev. 2).<\/p>\n
In the first\u00a0quarter of 2013\u00a0the Services Turnover Index\u00a0decreases\u00a0by 5.3%.<\/p>\n
Compared to the first quarter of 2012 a decrease is recorded in all sectors:\u00a0 Wholesale trade, trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles <\/strong>(-6.3%), Information and communication services (-6.2%), Accomodation and food service activities (-4.5%), Transport and Warehousing activities (-0.5%). Within the above sectors a slight increase is recorded only in Land transport (+0.5%), Water transport (+0.8%) and ICT services (+0.8%).<\/p>\n In the first quarter of 2013 the seasonally adjusted index increases in Water transport (+0.2%) and in Postal and courier activities (+0.4%) compared with the previous quarter. A decrease is recorded in all other sectors: \u00a0Maintenance and repair of motor vehicles (-3.6%), Air transport (-2.3%), Wholesale trade (-2.2%), Information and communication services (-1.8%).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The Services Turnover Index measures the quarterly change recorded in sales at current prices by enterprises belonging to the domain of services.
