Final data confirm provisional estimates.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">The fifth consecutive Italian inflation slowdown is partially due to the annual growth ratedecrease of prices of Food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.4%, from 3.1% in January).<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"> Also Communication had a downward impact effect on inflation. The main cause is the large decrease of Wireless telephone services (-7.0% compared with the previous month, -7.9 with respect to February 2012).<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Italian core inflation, calculated excluding energy and unprocessed food, was 1.5%, downfrom 1.7% in January.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Italian consumer price index, excluding energy, increased by 1.5% with respect to February2012 (0.3 lower than in January). <\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">In February 2013, Italian harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) decreased by 0.2% compared with the previous month and rose by 2.0% with respect to February 2012 (0.4 lower than in January 2013). Also in this case, final data confirm preliminary ones. <\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">The further decrease on monthly basis, was mainly due, as in January, to the clothing and footwear winter sales dynamics, which are not taken into account in the national index NIC.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"> Core inflation measured by Italian HICP was 1.4%, down from 1.8% in January.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Italian harmonized index of consumer prices, excluding energy, increase by 1.6% with respect to February 2012 ( 0.4 lower than January).<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">In February 2013, the Italian harmonized index of consumer prices at constant tax rates (HICP-CT) decreased by 0.2% compared with the previous month and rose by 1.9% with respect to February 2012.<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span class=\"hps\"><strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\"><span style=\"mso-ansi-language: EN;\" lang=\"EN\">Note<\/span><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"mso-ansi-language: EN;\" lang=\"EN\">: <em><span class=\"hps\">On April 5<\/span>, 2013,  <span class=\"hps\">at<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">12,05 hrs.<\/span>, the full text of th<span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">is <\/span><\/span>press release\u00a0<span class=\"hps\">has been replaced<\/span> due to <span class=\"hps\">the revision<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of some<\/span> NIC and HICP <span class=\"hps\">indices<\/span>.
