{"id":18252,"date":"2012-10-12T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2012-10-11T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nuovowww.collaudo.istat.it\/non-categorizzato\/consumer-prices-september-2012\/"},"modified":"2024-06-08T21:30:29","modified_gmt":"2024-06-08T19:30:29","slug":"consumer-prices-september-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/press-release\/consumer-prices-september-2012\/","title":{"rendered":"Consumer prices"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Consumer Price Index measures the change in prices over time of a set of goods and services (CPI basket) representative of Italian household consumption.<\/p>\n<p>In September 2012:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the National Consumer Price Index for the whole nation <strong>CPI <\/strong>(see Italian <strong>NIC<\/strong>) \u2013 used to measure inflation over the entire Italian economic system \u2013 held steady compared to the previous month and rose by 3.2% in comparison to the same month of the previous year;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>the EU Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices <strong>HICP <\/strong>(see Italian <strong>IPCA<\/strong>) \u2013 developed to facilitate the comparison of inflation between Member States \u2013 rose by 2.1% compared to the previous month and by 3.4% in comparison to the same month of the previous year;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>the EU Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices at Constant Tax rates <strong>HICP-CT <\/strong>(see Italian <strong>IPCA-TC<\/strong>) rose by 2.1% compared to the previous month and by 2.5% in comparison to the same month of the previous year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Consumer Price Index measures the change in prices over time of a set of goods and services (CPI basket) representative of Italian household consumption.
