Istat estimates that in May 2012:
\nthe National Consumer Price Index for the whole nation CPI (see Italian NIC) \u2013 used to\u00a0measure inflation over the entire Italian economic system \u2013 held steady compared to the\u00a0previous month and rose by 3.2% in comparison to the same month of the previous year;<\/p>\n
the EU Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices HICP (see Italian IPCA) \u2013 developed to\u00a0facilitate the comparison of inflation between Member States \u2013 held steady compared to the\u00a0previous month and rose by 3.5% in comparison to the same month of the previous year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
