{"id":17356,"date":"2011-10-31T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2011-10-30T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nuovowww.collaudo.istat.it\/non-categorizzato\/consumer-prices-provisional-data-october-2011\/"},"modified":"2024-06-08T21:27:33","modified_gmt":"2024-06-08T19:27:33","slug":"consumer-prices-provisional-data-october-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/press-release\/consumer-prices-provisional-data-october-2011\/","title":{"rendered":"Consumer prices (provisional)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Consumer Price Index measures the change in prices over time of a set of goods and services (CPI basket) representative of \u00a0Italian household consumption.<\/p>\n<p>Istat estimates that in October 2011:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the National Consumer Price Index for the whole nation <strong>CPI<\/strong> (see Italian <strong>NIC<\/strong>) \u2013 used to measure\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 inflation over the entire Italian economic system \u2013 rose by 0.6% compared to the previous month and by 3.4% in comparison to the same month of the previous year;<\/li>\n<li>the EU Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices <strong>HICP<\/strong> (see Italian <strong>IPCA<\/strong>) \u2013 developed to facilitate the comparison of inflation between Member States \u2013 rose by 0.9% compared to the previous month and by 3.8% in comparison to the same month of the previous year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-small; font-family: Arial;\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-small; font-family: Arial;\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;\"><strong>Note:<\/strong><em> At 12:40 on\u00a0October 31, 2011, the above text and the attached press release have been replaced due to misprints on data concerning\u00a0HICP (see Italian IPCA). <\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Consumer Price Index measures the change in prices over time of a set of goods and services (CPI basket) representative of \u00a0Italian household consumption.
