The retail trade index measures the monthly evolution of the turnover at current prices of enterprises
\nwith retail sale outlets. Since January 2009 the indices are calculated with reference to the base year
\n2005 using the new Ateco 2007 classification (Italian edition of Nace Rev. 2).
\nIn August 2011 the seasonally adjusted retail trade index was unchanged with respect to the previous
\nmonth (+0.3% for food goods and -0.1% for non food goods). The average of the last three months
\ncompared to the previous three months decreased by 0.4%.
