Istat presents data on Italy\u2019s foreign trade as well as unit value and volume indices (base year 2005=100) referring to November 2010. The results of the flash estimates on extra-EU trade for November 2010 has been disseminated on December 21st.<\/p>\n
\u2022 In November 2010, compared with the same month of the previous year, trade raised by 20.0% for exports (22.0% for non EU countries and 18.6% for EU area) and by 28.3% (+39.5% for non EU and +20.7 for EU countries) for imports. The trade balance amounts to -3.4 billion Euro compared with the -1.0 billion Euro registered in the same month of 2009.<\/p>\n
\u2022 November 2010 seasonally-adjusted data, compared to October, presented an increase for exports (+0.9%) with a higher performance for EU area (+1.2%) and a lower increase (+0.5%) for extra EU countries. The rise of imports was more intensive +1.5%), in particular for extra-EU markets (+2.4%) rather than EU countries (+0.9%). Over the last three months, seasonally-adjusted data, in comparison with the previous three months, showed an increase of 3.3% in outgoing flows and of 3.8% in incoming flows.<\/p>\n
\u2022 In the period January-November 2010, compared with the same period of the previous year, trade increased by 15.2% for exports (16.5% for non EU countries and 14.3% for EU area) and by 21.8% (28.2 for non EU and 17.0% for EU countries) for imports. The trade balance showed a deficit of 24.6 billion Euro which worsened the result of -5.7 billion Euro registered in the same period of the previous year.<\/p>\n
