On 8 and 9 April 2010 Istat will host in Rome the Kick-off Meeting of the EU 7th Framework Programme (FP7) Project BLUE-ETS (Enterprise and Trade Statistics).<\/p>\n
The event officially opens the three year research works of the BLUE-ETS project which is tailored on the main objectives of the EU Commission Programme MEETS (Modernisation of European Enterprise and Trade Statistics).<\/p>\n
The EC contribution to the project amounts to EUR 2,666,250. The project covers the following interrelated statistical subjects:
\ni) better data collection for better data quality;
\nii) better statistics through boosting the potential of existing data;
\niii) extending results and improving the statistical information.<\/p>\n
In carrying out the activities of the project Istat is the leader of a pan-European 14 partners Consortium. The BLUE-ETS Consortium covers all the areas and expertises needed to implement the various activities and includes the following members: 6 leading EU NSIs (ISTAT-Italian National Institute of Statistics, CBS-Statistics Netherlands, SCB-Swedish Statistical Office, SSB-Statistics Norway, INFOSTAT-Institute of Informatics and Statistics of Slovakia and SORS-Statistics of Slovenia); 2 leading European research institutes (IAB-Institute for Employment Research and CEPS-Centre for European Policy Study); 6 universities (UT-Trier, UNIBO-Bologna, UL-Ljublijna, UNINA-Naples, UNIBG-Bergamo and UoS-Southampton).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
