Every year the survey on \u201cAspects of daily life\u201d provides data on behaviours and the most important aspects of daily life in households.<\/p>\n
The information presented today is taken from the survey carried out in February 2010 and regards: access to Information and Communication Technologies, use of computers, use of the Internet, use of e-Commerce, Internet security and e-skills. The sample included 19,000 households, representing a total of 48,000 individuals.<\/p>\n
The growth of ICT in Italian households has been continuing in 2010. The percentage of Italian households that owned a PC increased (from 54.3% to 57.6%), Internet access at home (from 47.3% to 52.4%) and broadband access increased (from 34.5% to 43.4%) as well.<\/p>\n
In Italy strong inequalities at the territorial level still persist as regards ICT usage. For example, in 2010 in the North about 60% of households own a PC and about 54% have Internet access at home, while in South of Italy the percentages are, respectively around 51% and 47%.<\/p>\n
