In October 2010, compared with the same month of the previous year, trade raised by 17.6% for exports (21.9% for non EU countries and 14.5% for EU area) and by 22.5% (+32% for non EU and +16 for EU countries) for imports. The trade balance amounted to -2 billion Euro (table 1) compared with the -0.6 billion Euro registered in the same month of 2009.<\/p>\n
October 2010 seasonally-adjusted data, compared to September, presented an increase for exports (+1.2%) with a higher performance for extra EU area (+1.6%) and a lower increase (+0.9%) for EU countries. The rise of imports was more intensive (+2.4%), in particular for extra-EU markets (+3.2%) rather than EU countries (+1.8%). Over the last three months, seasonally- djusted data, in comparison with the previous three months, showed an increase of 3.1% in outgoing flows and of 3.7% in incoming flows.<\/p>\n
In the period January-October 2010, compared with the same period of the previous year, trade increased by 14.7% for exports (15.9% for non EU countries and 13.8% for EU area) and by 21.1% (27.1 for non EU and 16.5% for EU countries) for imports. The trade balance showed a deficit of 21.2 billion Euro (table 1) which worsened the result of -4.7 billion Euro registered in the same period of the previous year.<\/p>\n
